Top 10 Netflix Shows To Binge-Watch
While being stuck inside can definitely be a drag – at least, this gives us all the excuse to catch up on some shows that we’ve been WISHING to get to. I can honestly say, this isolation has given me the chance to catch up on every new, old and favourite show. I display here a list of all the shows that have kept me going in hopes that it can give you some new picks to choose from!
1. The Good Place
This has got to be my number one pick. The Good place is such a feel good premise – it takes such a complex topic (the afterlife) and makes it funny and relatable and charming. I know, such a hard thing to imagine – but trust me, try it out. I’ve never had such a good bellyache from laughter. PLUS Kristen Bell will always be one of the cutest celebrities to ever exist.
This pick is such a surprising little comedy. It really encompasses the struggles of not just a young boy on the spectrum – but also growing up in general. Shows the ups and downs of high school and all the not so fun stuff that it brings. Such a feel good show at the end of the day!
Okay, so this show got a lot of flak in the beginning when it premiered. But I honestly believe that it did because people didn’t WATCH it. This show is not about body shaming in the slightest. Instead, it’s about a young girl with extremely bad anger problems that keep getting herself and everyone she loves into A LOT of trouble. It’s hilarious and quirky and wildly inappropriate and I am HERE for it.
4. The circle
If you are in the mood for a little gameshow action – try this show out. It’s HILARIOUS because people pretty much get to catfish one another for prize money. You get people making real connections who are really fake people with fake stories. It’s a mix of emotions and honestly, it is really really addictive to watch.
5. Love is Blind
If you haven’t heard of this show yet, I would truly be shocked. It somehow became an overnight sensation and honestly – I jumped in on the bandwagon as well. There is a reason why it got so popular, and that was because It is super weird with lots of cringe worthy moments that make it hard to look away. Honestly it really does suck you in to see what happens next. Blind dating to the extreme.
In the mood for a suspenseful thriller? This show knows how to make things a little uncomfortable. It sure does take you out of your comfort zone and stirs your emotion. Why am I rooting for Joe? Why do I want that innocent person to be taken care of? WHO AM I? It really has you questioning everything.
7. Locke & Key
So this one is a pick if you’re into that mystery of the unknown type of feel. It has magic, suspense, its thrilling AND it has subtle hints of comedy. I gotta say, its pretty unique in the plot line so It keeps you on your toes. Its such an interesting and never been done before kind of concept that you’ll never see anything coming! Keeps you on your toes!
Quirky take on girl meets guy. This pick is definitely one for taking it easy and sitting back to have a nice light watch. It has some interesting characters, a fun little romantic “will they-wont they plot line and it helps that the actors are completely adorable. Worth a try!
RE-watch worthy show. I cannot say enough great things about this show. Hilarious, light hearted, soothes the soul. The list goes on. This show really does go down in the books. Between Troy and Abed’s relationship – to epic paintball fights and meta episodes. This show truly has it all. If you haven’t already seen it, I implore you to watch it. And if you have seen it, please do yourself a favour and watch it again.
10. Stranger Things
Last but certainly not least – Stranger Things checks all the boxes. You get thrill, suspense, love, comedy, mystery, fantasy, action. ANYTHING you could think of – Stranger Things has got it. I remember not giving this pick a shot way back when it first came out because I thought it was a “sci-fi” show… boy, was I wrong.
